Hello! Wow what a journey so far! I’ve found that in this existence, problems lead to solutions if one is willing to seek out advice, choose wisely, and learn! I’ve been a science educator all of my adult life; but have been a student throughout my entire life. We need to continually learn truths to progress. Having an open but skeptical mind allows a person to explore options to solve problems and utilize research and experimentation to insure that this knowledge is factual. This is the essence of scientific thinking. The health issues I had to deal with as I aged required remedies. Therefore if I desired to have a quality existence, and hopefully a lengthy one as well, I had to find answers. Unconventional (at the time) but effective eating habits discovered many years ago such as low sugar/starch consumption to gluten free living, to the latest progression of knowledge that led to the tremendous benefits of a grain free lifestyle, has led me on a path of health, happiness and fulfillment without many sacrifices. What I have found and experienced is too good to be true! But as with most things I have realized in this ironic world, convention sometimes is not the answer. In fact convention may be where ignorance or actual deceit may endure. Take for example the “low Fat dieting” convention that is not only unhealthy, does not produce desired results, is also unappetizing. Yet this dieting mantra is heard continuously all throughout our society and is taken as a truth. Many have much to gain by promulgating this untruth (low fat dieting). Also many have much to lose if it turns out that this dieting advice has been faulty (and it has). I’m usually not one to be so negative but I wanted to be stark in my description of the problems I and others have uncovered. The scientific method has always been a reliable convention that has progressed the human journey, much to the chagrin of the status quo casuist or the charlatans. The bright side of this discussion is the following: once you learn of this lifestyle and indulge in it your health, vitality, and the enjoyment of eating will result. Also there are ancillary, if not primary, benefits as well such as a strengthened marriage and family structure due to the necessary engagement in traditional meal planning and cooking that will have to occur within your household if you choose to be grain free. But it is so rewarding and fun! If you indulge in sports then watch for incredible performance gains!
